This stone is erected to the memory of
Deacon Jabez Goodspeed
by the West Church in this town
of which he had been a member 64 years
& a Deacon 27, all which time
his character was irreproachable & his piety unquestioned
Died Feb'ry 20th 1824 AEt 86.
