'Tis death's kind warning to prepare
Thou too must hasten to the tomb
And mingle with corruption there

The gravestone displays a winged head which is attributed to carver Bildad Washburn of the Plymouth area by researcher James Blachowicz. It also resembles the style of carver Lemuel Savery of Plymouth.
