The mortal remains of
The Rev JAMES HAWLEY
Son of the Rev GIDEON HAWLEY
Pastor of the first Church in Pembroke
And formerly Tutor of Harvard College

Devoted to God and Christ
To truth and duty
With united zeal and humility.
He served an approving people.
Alas, but two years of faithful exertion.
He died Oct 8th 1800 Aged 30 years
