JOHN PERCIVAL
Born April 3, 1779 at
West Barnstable on Scorton Hill
who left there at the age of
14 years, entered the Navy
as a Sailing Master in 1809.
Made a Lieut. Dec. 9, 1814
Commander on April 27, 1832
A Full Captain Sept. 8, 1841
Died Sept. 17, 1862

The monument on the left is set in the cemetery wall fronting Route 6A. The gravestone on the right is inside the cemetery behind the wall monument.
