This is a rare gravestone because it contains the initials of the stone carver located just above the winged skull. The initials N E are for the carver Nathaniel Emmes of Boston. The top left photo taken about 1982 and the photo of the rubbing are from the Farber Gravestone Collection owned by the American Antiquarian Society. The right tympanum photo was taken in 2000.
