This information is from a survey done about 1875 by Josiah Paine of Harwich. The inscription format is approximate. The gravestone was not found in the surveys of 1905 and 1976.

This was one of four gravestones found by Josiah Paine in 1875 but not found in the later surveys of 1905 and 1976. Remnants which are thought to be from three of those four lost gravestones have been uncovered as of August 2005. See Benjamin Webb (1746), Jabez Snow (1750) and Hannah Remick (1751). The search continues for remnants of the Joshua Bangs gravestone.

Joshua Bangs was the son of Edward Bangs and Lydia (Hicks) Bangs.
