The left photo shows the headstone with the footstone in the background. The headstone has delaminated and the footstone has broken. The inscription information is based on a 1904 gravestone survey plus Eastham Vital Records and Barnstable County Probate Records. The records indicate Elisha Cobb of Barnstable married Mary Harding, daughter of Josiah Harding of Eastham, on February 25, 1724/5. They settled in Eastham and a son was born there on June 6, 1736. Mary probably was in her late twenties or early thirties when she died in 1736/7. The inscription format is approximate.

CONDITION - Headstone is broken & delaminated. Footstone is broken.

COMMENTS - Some fragments of headstone and footstone were cleaned, bonded and reset October 2000. Headstone cleaned with D/2 October 2008.
