Joshua Sears (1791 - 1857) was a Yarmouth native who amassed a large fortune as a merchant in Boston. This tomb was built for him on a cemetery lot 100 feet by 155 feet. Genealogist Nancy Wilson who provided this information established thru her research that this tomb belongs to Joshua Sears.
